The final chapter of FFN

Well let me just say, that for the first time l finished reading a book. Fast Food Nation was a good book and I learned a lot from it, maybe because the author gave me a grand tour from the hamburger we eat to where they grind the meat. Now that I read this book, it gave me a clear picture of what goes into my hamburger, and I’m not talking about the garnish, I’m talking about everything that fast food chains do to make their money, and how I contribute to their cause by purchasing from them. I would have never thought that eating a hamburger could cause so much damage to me and my family. Now that I am more aware of fast food restaurants, I am more likely to think of everything I read in the book. Even though I won’t always avoid eating fast food, I will cut down a little more and promote healthier choices to my family and myself. Some of the issues that got me thinking are how the government doesn’t really enforce policies and regulated inspections, that they are really just checking the box to cover their backs.  Also, how we as a consumer put our trust into the government thinking they are doing what’s right.

  1. There is no doubt that all of us who have read FFN will now think twice or three times before eating fast food.
